A wild and evocative landscape where the sanctuary of Apollo once stood and from where, according to tradition, the poet Sappho committed suicide. The dominating lighthouse offers one of the most beautiful sunsets in the Ionian.
An impressive medieval fortress at the entrance of the island, built in the 14th century for protection against pirates. It is exceptionally well preserved and offers a glimpse into Lefkada's turbulent history.
Known for its electric blue waters and huge sandy beach, it is considered by many to be superior even to Porto Katsiki. After the 2015 earthquake, access is easier by boat, although the steps have been restored.
